One Day Planting Design Course                                     Cost £120.00

Sunday 17th March 2013   9.30-4.30 pm
Chelsea gold medal-winning garden designer Adam Frost leads this popular and enjoyable one-day course on planting design. For many people, the most important part of a garden is the planting. Whether it is a romantic, dreamy, cottage-garden style combination, or a more minimalist, restrained plant selection, this one-day course can help you achieve your aim by using planting, colour combinations, foliage and texture – and inspire you to get the most from your plants.

On this course, Adam shows how to bring plants together to create different colour moods within a garden, and shows which plants are particularly good when grown together.  He will help you to create your own planting combinations that you can take back to your own gardens to try out.
The course itinerary includes:

• Understanding your site and soil
• Soft landscaping
• Garden styles
• Individuality
• Walkabout at Barnsdale Gardens – with special reference to planting and plant associations

The cost of the course includes lunch and refreshments throughout the day, as well as free entry to Barnsdale Gardens. The course is limited to 20 participants so be sure to register early to reserve your place.
