"We feel very privileged to be able to design and build gardens. We think it makes you aware of life and the season. Is there anything better than a Spring morning, a Summer evening or that Autumn day"
New Life to an Old Garden, Lincolnshire
This garden was designed for a Gardeners' World magazine competition winner. Part of the brief was to re-use the existing paving material - but to give it a new lease of life, it was lifted and relayed. Decking came out in line with the sitting room, and a raised pool was created to give a clear, bold focal point. The garden was typical of many suburban plots in that light was being kept out by over-hanging trees and a tall hedge; the trees were thinned and the hedges trimmed to allow more light and air into the space.
