Work is fun but so is Glastonbury!

It seems a while since I have posted a few words but I have been busy - I promise. However, I must be honest - it’s not all been work though. My wife, bless her, sorted me a ticket to go to Glastonbury.

Well, what a weekend! If you have a list of ten things to do before you move on then this should be on it! Every type of music, actually every type of everything, was there. The atmosphere is so special it was great to be able to see the old and the new in one place from people like Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen to the likes of Paolo Nutini. Its fair to say that I have probably spent a lot more on music since I have been back (don’t tell the wife!!) than I should have done but there you go. Small pleasures and all that! Mind you, if you like your music try these:

If you like rock have a look at Gaslight Anthem or if you are more into acoustic try Ben Taylor he’s the son of James Taylor and Carly Simon so comes from good stock. As for a live act you will go a long way to see much better than Bruce Springsteen.  I wasn’t a great fan before I went to Glastonbury but after watching this 58 year old do a 2 hour set he really was top drawer. He then went to Hyde park the next night and did it all again !!!

The other great thing about the weekend was spending some time with friends that I had not for a long time - thanks boys for a great weekend. Last, but not least, a special thanks to my wife for sorting it. Xx
