I would like to thank all the nice people at Lands’ End clothing company for a very nice day and evening the other week. As mentioned in an earlier post (http://www.adamfrost.co.uk/blog/nice-be-home), we have been working with them on the garden competition and last Saturday was the grand opening. It was a great day – the winner of the competition arrived at Barnsdale at 10.30 a.m and the grand opening was performed by Tim Curtis, MD of Lands’ End. At this point I thought it could be a good day when they broke out the Bollinger followed by a tour of Barnsdale and then off to Barnsdale Lodge for lunch. Very nice!
You’d think that might be enough but no, Lands’ End then organised a garden party at Barnsdale Gardens for the staff at New Ground Landscapes, Barnsdale Gardens and – of course – my lot. The weather was great with some jazz playing in the background. They even had a cake made especially for the occasion.
Visit http://www.landsenduk.typepad.com/onboard/2010/07/the-lands-end-colour-garden-party.html to see what the finished garden looks like and how the evening went.
Many thanks to everyone involved with this.
