Oh so mad!
Why are we never ready for this time of year? As soon as the sun shines the phone goes mad and we always say we’ll be more prepared next year. Its a great time though, things are bursting into life, light evenings, I love it even though i do not seem to have a moment to spare. I have just finished writing an article for a local magazine on what to do in your garden in May, It just made me realize quite how much I leave my wife to do because she always looks good when i get home from what seems to be my annual trip to chelsea, it's not far off now, though I feel I’m traveling in the fast lane, we do seem to be in front (i say that nervously) everybody's up to speed, the plants are starting to show there heads, mind you not sure it was such a great idea having them here at Barnsdale as i am taking a peek daily although i feel they should be much bigger, Nick tells me they will be fine, plenty of growing time yet! 
If I am honest I just want to get on with it now, chelsea will soon be here, I don't really like these last few weeks.   We are just finalizing concrete details with Cliff at www.polishedconcretedesigns.co.uk, he has been superb helping me sort the final details. All the frames are ready so the concrete will be poured next week which gives it a good period before polishing on site. I’ve met with Richard from Newground Landscapes a few times now to finalize details, well to be honest its an excuse for us to catch up over a pint as Richard seems to have everything in hand. So all in all it’s looking good!
