And they’re off….

New Ground Landscapes have just embarked on another project I have in London. It’s a good-sized garden in North London and the clients are just finishing a big renovation project. The house looks great and now they want a garden to match!

I’m really excited about this project and my client has been kind enough to let me blog my way through it, which should take about 12 weeks. Just to get us started I will try to give you a simple summary of what we are trying to achieve:

The house has just had a really cool glass extension to the rear of the property (I’m talking Grand Designs here!). The extension works on two levels, which are both day-to-day living spaces so the garden not only needs to work from different viewpoints but also work well throughout the seasons. So the garden will be simple in layout taking its lead from the extension, not just architecturally but visually.

Our aim is to provide a garden that will be enjoyed and used throughout the year. Over the next few weeks I will break the garden into sections and explain my approach in more detail.
